DAY 1 – NAIROBI
Transfer from Nairobi airport to the Norfolk hotel for overnight BB.
DAY 2 - SELENKAY (AMBOSELI) L,D
0900 hrs pick up from Nairobi hotels for road transfer to Selenkay Wildlife conservancy, bordering Amboseli National Park. Lunch and afternoon walk with Masai guides and a visit to their village. Later in the afternoon enjoy a game viewing drive. Return to camp for dinner and then an exciting night game drive. Spend the next two nights at Porini traditional luxury tented camp.
DAY 3 - SELENKAY (AMBOSELI) B,L,D
Early breakfast and drive into Amboseli National Park for a full day game viewing with picnic lunch.
DAY 4 - SWEETWATERS B,L,D
Transfer to the airstrip for early morning scheduled flight back to Nairobi. Continue by road to Sweetwaters game reserve, situated between the Aberdares and Mt.Kenya. Lunch and afternoon game viewing and a visit to the Rhino and Chimpanzee conservation projects. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters luxury tented lodge.
DAY 5 - SAMBURU B,L,D
Continue North to the arid bush country of Samburu. Afternoon game viewing in Samburu. Spend the next two nights at Samburu Intrepids or Larsens Camp (supplement payable), overlooking the river.
DAY 6 - SAMBURU B,L,D
Morning and afternoon game viewing in Samburu.
DAY 7 - THE ARK B,L,D
Return to the Highlands and drive into the Aberdare National park for an exciting dinner and overnight stay at the Ark Forest Lodge.
DAY 8 - LAKE BARINGO B,L,D
Descend from the Kenya Highlands into the Great Rift Valley and on to Lake Baringo. Transfer by boat to Baringo Island Camp. Lunch and afternoon free to relax and enjoy the tranquillity and beautiful surroundings of this remote area of Kenya. Spend the next 2 nights at Baringo Island Camp.
DAY 9 - LAKE BARINGO B,L,D
Enjoy a choice of optional activities organized by the camp (book and pay locally): Early morning boat cruise across to the mainland lake shore. Afternoon boat trip around Ol Kokwa Island to visit an Njemps tribal village and the hot springs. A guided bird walk around the camp and the lakeshore in the cool of the early morning or evening. A Sundowner boat cruise to Lesukut Island and a rocky climb to the top bring you to a perfect spot to experience a Baringo sunset.
DAY 10 - LAKES BOGORIA AND NAKURU B,L,D
Early breakfast and return to the mainland for a short drive to Lake Bogoria. Afterwards, continue to Lake Nakuru. Lunch and afternoon game drive beside the lake, another favourite haunt of the lesser flamingo who feed on the algae along the lake shores. It is also one of the best parks in Kenya to see Rhino. Dinner and overnight at Lion Hill Lodge or Flamingo Hill Camp.
DAY 11 - MASAI MARA B,L,D
Early breakfast and drive along the floor of the Rift Valley, passing the dormant volcano of Mount Longonot. Ascend the Mau escarpment and on to Masai Mara. Lunch at a lodge and afternoon game viewing through the reserve. Spend the next two nights at the deluxe Mara Serena Lodge.
DAY 12 - MASAI MARA B,L,D
Morning and afternoon game viewing, beginning just after sunrise while the dew is fresh on the grass and the animals are active.
DAY 13 - MARA – NAIROBI B,L
Morning game viewing and lunch in the Masai Mara. Afternoon scheduled flight back to Nairobi and onward transfer to the airport or a city hotel. Option to fly back to Nairobi in the morning.
